Traveling to Tri-County North for a conference match, the Varsity volleyball team entered the gym ready to claim a victory. Starting out strong, the Lady Hawks were up 11-6 before the Lady Panthers started to try a comeback taking the lead once at 14-13. MV put on the heat after that and never let them back in taking the set 25-16. The second set was the opposite with TCN starting strong and the Lady Hawks having to come back from being down 8-15. It was a battle to the end, but MV got the set win 25-23. The Lady Hawks didn’t play around in the 3rd set, finishing strong with a 25-13 win, giving their Coach Hunt and absent Coach Neargarder, who was being updated by a parent during the match, a bright spot to their tough day. Team highs for the match were Kennedy Stachler with 5 aces and 2 blocks, Riley Price with 3 aces, 6 kills, and 8 digs, Leah Scholl with 9 assists and 6 kills, Taylor Stachler with 9 assists, 6 kills, and 1 block, Lindsay Johns with 9 digs and 2 blocks, and Kya Lavy with 3 blocks.
