On Saturday, December 2, the Boys Varsity Bowling team traveled to Lima to participate in a Baker Tournament hosted by Lima Senior High School. All teams bowled 4 sets of 4 baker games on 4 different lanes for pool play. Then the teams were seeded, by highest total pin count, and the top 8 continued in bracket tournament play format. For tournament play, they bowled for best 2 out of 3 baker games per opponent. MV was seeded 5th with 2386 total pins after pool play, which pitted them against 4th seed Lima Central Catholic in the first round. Wanting a little revenge from the first week of the season, the Hawks got out to a great start and won two games straight, 194-134 and 198-137. In the second round of the bracket they faced 1st seed and host, Lima Senior. They started with a disappointing 1st game, losing 131-185. They tried to come back and win the second, bowling neck and neck with Lima Senior, but it came down to the last bowlers and Lima Senior pulled out the win 181-200. MV ended the tournament tied for 3rd place with Elida.
