On Thursday, August 31, Mississinawa Valley traveled to Tri-County North for a CCC match-up. After falling to TCN at the Greenville Federal Invitational four days previously, the Lady Hawks were determined to turn it around and get this win. In an exciting match that went back and forth, with the Lady Hawks having their good moments and not-so-good moments, a five set match was in the works. Pushing hard, MV kicked up the serving, setting, hitting and defense to take the match 21-25, 25-23, 26-28, 25-16, 15-6. Leading the Hawks were MaKenna Price with 17 kills & 23 digs, Stevi Keen with 25 digs, Amanda Armstrong with 3 blocks, Sidnie Hunt with 4 aces, 24 assists & 13 kills, Olivia Murphy with 17 assists, and Lindsay Johns with 3 aces & 3 blocks. This puts the MV Varsity at 2-3 on the season and 1-1 in CCC action. Up next is the Randolph Southern Invitational on Saturday, September 2.
