The Varsity Lay Hawks came out strong against cross-town rival Union City in their third day of volleyball matches in a row. As always, the two teams battled back and forth with the score staying close most of the way. Finally, MV came out on top in three straight sets, 25-20, 25-21, 25-19. Leading the way for the Lady Hawks were Sidnie Hunt with 5 aces & 4 assists, Shaiann Livingston with 3 aces, 9 assists & 14 digs, Mikayla Stump with 3 aces, Kelsie Hunt with 7 kills & 6 blocks, Amanda Armstrong with 6 kills & 4 blocks, and MaKenna Price with 11 digs.. The Lady Hawks will have a bit of a break and return to the court on Monday, Oct. 3, at Greenville High School.
