Game Recap

On another hot and muggy Ohio night, the Blackhawks took on the Covington Buccs in a CCC match up Friday night. Covington took an early lead in the first quarter and never looked back winning 62-20. Although Mississinawa came up short, they managed to put up some decent numbers. Quarterback Trent Collins was 15 for 29 with 209 yards and 3 touchdowns. Collins was also the leading rusher racking up 30 yards on the ground. Collins was able to hook up with fellow teammates JJ Howard, Kyler Mote, and Andrews Johns for Blackhawk touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball linebacker Will Hall lead the team in tackles, with five solos and three assists. Inside linebackers Nate Gladdish and Noah Hampshire were next on the team with four total. Next week the Blackhawks travel to Lewisburg to face the Tri County North Panthers.
